Recruiting and Retaining National Guard Members

National Guard "weekend warriors" are discovering they are being deployed to Iraq for more than a year. The realization makes it difficult for military recruiters at high schools to sell students on the financial rewards the Guard offers. Meanwhile, some recruiters are traveling to Iraq to convince current Guard members to re-enlist.
