Richey Suncoast Theatre is proud to announce the return of the New Port Richey Film Festival on Sunday, March 15th, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This community event is free and open to the public, honoring the city’s early history as a burgeoning film hub once slated to become the “Hollywood of the East.”

The festival will showcase a diverse selection of short films created by local filmmakers in both Youth (17 & under) and Adult (18+) categories. This afternoon of creativity on the big screen highlights emerging creators alongside experienced storytellers from across the community.

Call for Entries: Submit Your Film

The festival is currently seeking original short film submissions. Local creators are invited to share their stories for a chance to win cash prizes and tickets to the Sunscreen Film Festival in St. Petersburg (April 30 – May 3).

Submission Requirements:
Deadline: Sunday, March 1st
Length: Under 5 minutes
Format: Motion pictures only (no slideshows)
Rating: Must comply with MPAA "G" rating
Limit: One entry per person or group
