City of Tarpon Springs crews are working on water and sewer line breaks at a suspected sinkhole.
It's at Mango Street near U.S. 19. Officials said U.S. 19 is not affected.
Judy Staley, public information officer for the city of Tarpon Springs, said the sinkhole is near Tarpon Shores Mobile Home Park.
"We've evacuated six of the mobile homes in that mobile home park as a precaution.” Staley said. “They're not directly affected right now but just to be on the safe side, we wanted to make sure those residents are safe there."
The last measurements of the sinkhole were about 60 feet in diameter by 35 feet in depth.
To reduce pressure on the water force main, all residents east of Lake Tarpon and north of East Lake Woodlands are being asked to avoid unnecessary use of water.
Staley said after the water main line breaks are fixed, the city will likely issue a boil water notice.
Officials are unsure what caused the collapse.
