Edouard Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole is a quirky sort of piece as far as its structure goes: it is part symphony, but mostly concerto. It’s also filled with Spanish-type idioms, as one would expect from the title. We’ll hear it tonight at 7, our Evening Masterwork on Classical WSMR 89.1 and 103.9.
