NPR's Mike Pesca reports from New York City on the more than 100,000 protestors have gathered near Madison Square Garden, site of the Republican National Convention. On Sunday, the day before the convention's start, a crowd estimated between 120,000 and 500,000 people marched along Seventh Avenue to protest Bush administration policies. Pesca found the protests to be mostly peaceful, though some marchers confronted the police.
