Very Eric Carle: A Very Hungry, Quiet, Lonely, Clumsy, Busy Exhibit
Very Eric Carle is a play-and-learn exhibit inspired by five of Eric Carle’s classic children’s books. Families will follow the path of the Very Hungry Caterpillar, weave a web with the Very Busy Spider, find their inner light with the Very Lonely Firefly, jump and flip with the Very Clumsy Click Beetle, and compose a night symphony with the Very Quiet Cricket.
This exhibit brings to life Carle’s love of nature, his respect for the emotional lives of children, and his recurring themes of friendship, creativity, and the power of imagination. It reimagines the boundaries between the images on a page and the natural world that inspired them, encouraging visitors to explore Carle’s themes and think a little deeper about hope, hard work, love, belonging, and persistence.
