President Trump’s lawyers in the Senate impeachment trial gave their closing arguments Monday, saying that Democrats had been after President Trump since the beginning.
Senators had the chance to speak on the subject for up to 10 minutes on Tuesday. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell spoke first, saying the articles of impeachment brought to the Senate by the House were “constitutionally incoherent.”
Meanwhile, it’s time for the State of the Union. But this one will be different. The Senate impeachment trial has not yet concluded, and President Trump will be able to address Democrats directly in public.
Will what the President says have any impact on the trial?
Every Wednesday, we’ll spend a show checking in on impeachment for as long as there’s news to share and questions to answer.
