GCAA ArtWorks will be celebrating Art Walk Saturday, August 9 with Art Demonstrations, Arty Door Prizes and a 50/50 raffle. You can also see the current exhibition, “Summer Heat” featuring 22 artists from the area. Carole Rosefelt will show the process of Alcohol Ink painting and Marie Cummings will be demonstrating Collage techniques from 6 to 8 pm.

“Summer Heat”, a juried exhibition resulting from an Open Call to artists, will continue through August 30. This sizzling show features 22 Tampa Bay artists whose diverse techniques make a fascinating collection. Some of the media used in the show includes cold wax, collage, pastel, screenprint, encaustic, photography, even “trash”. Traditional oil and acrylic paintings are spectacular, as well.

GCAA ArtWorks is located at 5546 First Avenue, N, St. Petersburg. There is plenty of free parking, and the Sunrunner bus stop is only 2 blocks away at 58th Street. Admission is free and open to the public.
