Texture: tangled, rolled and wild is the theme running through Donna Plunkett’s new show, “Coming Out at You”. An avid recycler, Donna salvages old letterhead, brochures, colored waste paper, and textured packaging materials. Her rolled paper sculptures combine found objects and many other recycled materials. She’s especially fond of rusted can lids! Donna’s art business, Porcupine Paper is known for paper animals, hearts, urchins and especially cats, but her new pieces have evolved into other subjects with wildly dimensional surfaces.

The show, “Coming Out at You” is on view at St. Pete ArtWorks throughout the month of December. The reception will be held during St. Pete’s Second Saturday Art Walk featuring seasonal music by jazz flutist Bruce Daniels starting at 6pm. Stop by to meet the artist, sample refreshments and listen to live music.
