The Rays want their new ballpark to be as iconic and beautifully designed as the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

Rays team president Brian Auld said they will not build a ballpark unless it makes sense both for the Rays and for the community.

The Tampa Bay Rays launched a new website, BallparkReimagined.com, to gather your ideas and vision on what a new stadium should look like and include.

Their theme is "Different By Design" and it urges contributors to get creative with ideas that will not only “enhance” the ballpark but make it a community gathering place for generations to come.

The goal is to create: “An icon as distinct as we are,” states the website video.

Rays team president Brian Auld said they will not build a ballpark unless it makes sense both for the Rays and for the community.

“In order to ensure that it happens, we can't be telling people what they need,” Auld said in May. “We need to hear directly from them. We need to hear from our public officials what they need a ballpark to accomplish for their public policy goals. We need to hear from the business community what they need. And we need every idea that's out there.”

That's where everyone can join in.

What makes a great day at the ballpark for you?  Seats close to the players, unique and fun food, an open sky over the field?

How else can the community "use" the ballpark year-round - as a culinary training ground or athletic workout center?

Whatever you can thoughts, the Rays want you to give them a piece of your mind at BallparkReimagined.com.
