- Daniel visits The Palm Restaurant in Washington, DC to talk with executive chef, Sang Ek (sang ehk) about how he makes his light and crispy French Fried Onion Rings. Part of the secret is in its simplicity. Sang Ek emigrated to the United States from Cambodia and began work at The Palm 23 years ago. His first job at the restaurant was washing dishes.
