Throughout a career that has spanned three decades, British rock 'n' roll musician Elvis Costello has worked with countless other musical legends, including Paul McCartney and Burt Bacharach. His most recent collaboration rekindles his friendship with R&B artist Allen Toussaint.
In what began as Costello's tribute to Toussaint's music, their new album A River in Reverse became a dedication to the rebuilding and return of New Orleans. Costello and Toussaint are in the middle of a nationwide tour, and they talk about their new CD from the NPR studios in Los Angeles.
