The documentary Football Under Cover replays the 2006 women's soccer match between Germany and Iran. It was the first time both teams met, and the first match ever for the Iranian women. The match was set up by the film's co-director, Ayat Najafi and co-producer, Marlene Assman, who say their main goal was 'to convey an image of Iran beyond the usual clichés and stereotypes.' They talk about their frustrations and triumphs, as well as what it was like dealing with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard.
