George Carlin was a comedian who, by the time he died Sunday evening at the age of 71, had left an indelible impression on America, from his defense of the separation of church and state to the way he continued to push the envelope on obscenity and other taboos. Margaret Cho and Lewis Black look back on the life of their friend and fellow comedian.
