Tropical Development Possible Near Bahamas This Weekend

The 2016 Hurricane Season is about a week away, and a system is already stirring up interest near the Bahamas. Meteorologist Jeff Huffman is watching it from the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network, and says it shouldn’t mess up too many holiday weekend plans. When the next named storm develops, it will be called Bonnie. Alex, a rare winter hurricane - the season’s first - formed in January.
