Choral Artists of Sarasota – Sarasota’s only professional choral ensemble – had the honor of performing in Normandy, France, in June at the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day. The Department of Defense, in conjunction with the Monuments Commission, commemorates the D-Day invasion to honor our World War II veterans and to underscore the importance of the Allies’ commitment and sacrifice to preserve freedom. Guest speaker Dr. Joseph Holt, Choral Artists of Sarasota’s artistic director, will describe this emotional experience, and give an overview of Choral Artists, an important pillar of Sarasota’s arts scene.
