The foundation – now in its 20th year – commemorates Celma Mastry, a local philanthropist who succumbed to the disease when her diagnosis came too late. She and the Mastry family created the foundation to raise money to help educate Tampa Bay area women about prevention and symptoms and cover expenses while they go through treatment. To date, the foundation has given almost one-million dollars to numerous individuals as they struggle to overcome cancer and still pay their bills.
