Immigration: Can we find new solutions to an enduring challenge? [A CATA Dinner/workshop]
Conversations Across The Aisle is a Sarasota-Manatee based non-partisan non-profit organization that seeks to strengthen the community by hosting facilitated dinner dialogs. Founded by former New College Dean Bill Woodson, each CATA dinner/workshop has a different theme. A “hot topic” is framed by a local expert, and community members from across the political spectrum are challenged to reflect on critical policy questions of the day in facilitated small discussion groups.
The workshops are free, but participants must be invited, and seating is limited. Self-nominations are welcome, and interested parties may submit their names accompanied by a brief statement of why they would like to participate in a future CATA workshop to events.cata@gmail.com.
The next CATA dinner/workshop will be October 8. The topic will be Immigration, and our framing speaker will be Stetson Law professor Michael Vastine.
