Caelan Jeffery, St. Pete ArtWorks’ January featured artist will exhibit their unique leatherwork December 31 through February 2. Caelan combines leather, paint and other media to create one-of-a-kind artwork. These fascinating pieces utilize black and white historical photographs in colorized illustrations.

Caelan, a queer trans non-binary person uses ideas and concerns to bring awareness to certain social issues, to validate all emotions, to invoke all emotions, and, hopefully, to serve as an aide in processing through life. Many intense life experiences have molded their outlook and perspective on living and art in a way that deeply resonates with others.

Caelan says, “Art is medicine. Without art I would be lost. The ability to center into myself, into my work, and my surroundings continuously brings joy and clarity into my life.”

Join them for the opening reception during Art Walk of “It’s Hard to Forget” at St. Pete ArtWorks January 11 from 5 to 9 pm, featuring live music by cellist Liz Glushko starting at 6 pm.
