Palm Harbor Museum Presents Arthur "Buz" Olds with Boot Ranch & the North Pinellas Cattle Ranching Industry
Palm Harbor Museum Presents the fascinating history of North Pinellas cattle ranching through the stories of Safety Harbor native Arthur "Buz" Olds as he brings "NO BULL! A Storied Look into Boot Ranch and the North Pinellas Cattle Ranching Industry" to the Palm Harbor Library on Wed., March 5th at 6:30 PM. There is no charge and all are welcome.
With the longest ranching history of any U.S. state, its unique ranching traditions were adapted to our subtropical climate, pioneer history and development. Author of "It’s No Bull: The True Story of the Taming of Northeast Pinellas County," Olds brings to life the history of the East Lake area of Pinellas, where thousands of head of cattle once grazed. In the 1980s when Al Boyd sold his famed Boot Ranch, sprawling subdivisions came to cover the region. Through Buz Olds, you'll rediscover a little-known story of Florida life.
