Enjoy a two-day carnival with rides, games and fair food for the whole family and the annual Pineapple Drop Block Party on Dec. 31 featuring live music and DJs on multiple stages, a New Year's countdown and fireworks.

Event admission is free.

Unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36" & taller), valid all day Tuesday and till 6 pm on Wednesday, are $37 on site ($35 cash) till 5 pm Wednesday, or online before 1 pm Tuesday for $29 each, 2/$55 or 4/$99.

Ride tickets, valid anytime, are available at the carnival and discounted online pre-sale for $45/50 tickets + 1 free ride. (Rides take multiple tickets each.)

Midway hours: 1-11 pm Tuesday and 1 pm-1 am Wednesday

Carnival guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult age 21+. Please check the website for event updates.

The New Year's Eve block party, hosted by the Sarasota Downtown Merchants from 1 pm-1 am, features special offers at local eateries and entertainment including Naughty Girl, Chas Collins, Gas House Gorillas and SRQ Beats. The giant glowing pineapple drops at midnight at the intersection of Lemon Avenue and Main Street, followed by fireworks provided by Marina Jack.
