Join us for the March 12th MeetUp of the Sierra Club Adventure Coast Group. Guest speaker will be Christopher M. Meindl, Ph.D. to talk about his new book, Florida Springs: From Geography to Politics and Restoration, followed by a book signing.

Dr. Meindl is an associate professor of geography and director of the Florida Studies Program at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. Florida is home to over 1,000 freshwater springs, natural wonders that have drawn people to enjoy and interact with them. Dr. Meindl’s book provides a clear and comprehensive overview of the geography, history, science, and politics of the springs, informing us about the deep past and current issues facing these treasures of the Florida landscape.

The meeting will run from 7pm--8pm at the South Brooksville Community Center, 601 East Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard in Brooksville, Fl.
