Fire officials in Florida say 40 guests made it safely out of a building where fire broke out at Saddlebrook Resort in Pasco County.

Pasco County spokesman Doug Tobin said in a news release that the fire started early Thursday morning in a 16-unit, two story building at the resort.

Bay News 9 reports 28 students training to be tennis and golf professionals were among those staying in the building. A student smelled smoke and alerted others.

Tobin did not say what caused the fire. Few other details were immediately available.
