Grab 'Coffee With A Cop'

What would you ask a cop over a cup a coffee?

Florida residents will find out Wednesday on National Coffee with a Cop Day.

Officers across the state will be pouring into their coffee shops to talk with community on a range of topics from glaze or frosting to neighborhood disputes and traffic issues.

Their web site says this is is an opportunity to "open the door for interactions outside of the crisis situations that typically bring law enforcement officers and community members together."

According to their web site, Coffee with a Cop has: No agendas, No distractions,No barriers, Just coffee.

Coffee with a Cop takes a new approach of community policing. Meeting at a coffee shop gives law enforcement an opportunity to build relationships with the community that is usually done in town halls.

Visit Coffee with a Cop website to see if any of your local law enforcement will be grabbing a mug.
