Nick Evans came to Tallahassee to pursue a masters in communications at Florida State University. He graduated in 2014, but not before picking up an internship at WFSU. While he worked on his degree Nick moved from intern, to part-timer, to full-time reporter. Before moving to Tallahassee, Nick lived in and around the San Francisco Bay Area for 15 years. He listens to far too many podcasts and is a die-hard 49ers football fan. When Nick’s not at work he likes to cook, play music and read.

T. Susan Chang regularly writes about food and reviews cookbooks for The Boston Globe, NPR.org and the Washington Post. Odalis Garcia is a recent graduate from The New School in New York City where she majored in Journalism with a minor in Religious Studies. Through that she found a love of storytelling. People have so much to say but there are some who are kept quiet or not allowed to have a seat at the table. Odalis hopes to use her work and her words to allow these voices to tell their stories in a fair way. Odalis also spent her time managing the social media for her college and her school's newspaper. It's always the best excuse to have Twitter and Instagram open at all times.

Christi Owiye is a senior studying Mass Communications at the University of South Florida. Christi is from Miami Gardens. She has interned with the USF College of Public Health's Alumni Communications and one day hopes to be a best-selling author and documentary filmmaker. When she isn't writing, she's catching up on the news via Twitter.

Alex Fahnlander is an undergraduate English student at Florida State University. Outside of WFSU, she serves as Assignments Editor and Continuity Director for FSU’s student-run radio station, WVFS and as a Resident Assistant in a freshman residence hall. After graduation Alex hopes to pursue a career in radio production. In her spare time she enjoys listening to her favorite podcasts, drawing portraits, watching The Office, and developing stories for future graphic novels.

Erika Beras was 90.5 WESA’s Behavioral Health reporter and now does General Assignment and Feature reporting. Her work has aired on NPR, the BBC and other networks. She has won local and national awards for her reporting; among them a fellowship from The International Center for Journalists to travel to Poland and report on shale and energy in 2012. Prior to coming to Pittsburgh Erika was a reporter at The Miami Herald. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.

Melissa Ross joined WJCT in 2009 with 20 years of experience in broadcasting, including stints in Cincinnati, Chicago, Orlando and Jacksonville. During her career as a television and radio news anchor and reporter, Melissa has won four regional Emmys for news and feature reporting.

Aside from her contributions to WFSU Radio, Keta also serves as an on-air personality for FAMU's college station WANM 90.5 FM. Born and raised in Ocala, FL, she aspires to pursue a passionate career in radio and/or entertainment journalism.

Quincy J. Walters is a junior at USF, majoring in English with a concentration in creative writing. His interest in journalism spurred from the desire to convey compelling narratives. He has written for USF’s student paper, The Oracle and is currently the videographer for Creative Pinellas. If he’s not listening to NPR, he’s probably listening to Randy Newman.
