The Tampa Bay Sun claimed the inaugural USL Super League championship on Saturday night.

Tampa Bay's professional women's soccer team is celebrating its 2025 USL Super League championship the Tampa way on Wednesday.

The Tampa Bay Sun will celebrate their championship-winning inaugural season with a boat parade down the Hillsborough River at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The women's soccer club won the USL Super League championship Saturday with a 1-0 win over the Fort Lauderdale United at Riverfront Stadium in Tampa.

Boat parades have become the Tampa way to celebrate sports championships in recent years. The Tampa Bay Lightning celebrated their Stanley Cup titles this way in 2020 and 2021, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers did the same after their Super Bowl victory in 2022.

Now, the Sun will get the honor. The soccer club is part of the fledgling USL Super League, a first-division women's soccer league.

Sun players and coaches will board boats and travel north on the Hillsborough River before arriving at Armature Works pier at West Seventh Avenue and Market Street at 2 p.m.

Fans can gather there to greet the players and receive giveaways. There will also be photo opportunities. Tampa Mayor Jane Castor will be on hand for the free family-friendly event.
