Hector Mujica, a Venezuelan American who left his longtime job at Google to run for the U.S. Senate in Florida, will compete in the Democratic primary for the House seat held by Giménez.

The lawsuit contends that Torres did not have qualifying paperwork properly notarized as required by law. Torres has filed to run in an Aug. 23 Republican primary in Congressional District 14 in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.
