Czech Dissident

Robert speaks with Jan (YAN) Kavan (KAH-van) - a former Czech member of parliament who was asked to resign more than 4 years ago because information found in his security file. It was believed that Mr. Kavan collaborated with the Old Communist government in the late 1960's against student dissidents. Mr. Kavan could not believe the allegations since he was a celebrated dissident himself. Today, in Prague....he was vindicated... the Justice Department exonerated Mr. Kavan of all allegations. And Mr. Kavan will now run for political office once again.
