Daniel Robinson is a young artist based in the small town of Fossil, Oregon. His paintings, often depicting idealized mixtures of industrial and rural landscapes, recall the social realist images of the 1930s and '40s.
Robinson has been associated with Boston's Mercury Gallery since 2000; a new exhibition of his paintings, titled In Oregon, opens at the Mercury on April 1.
