Slate's Jurisprudence: Pledge Case and Custody Battles

NPR's Alex Chadwick talks with Slate legal analyst Dahlia Lithwick about the issue of child custody, and how it relates to the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling on the Pledge of Allegiance case Monday. The court did not rule on the constitutionality of invoking the name of God in the pledge, but instead ruled the father of the young girl at the heart of the case did not have the right to sue on her behalf, because the girl's mother has primary custody.
