The assassination of Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto, a former prime minister, set off protests across the country and throws into turmoil the country's upcoming parliamentary elections Jan. 8. She was killed in Rawalpindi, Pakistan just near the capital Islamabad after leaving a campaign rally.
