Immigrant-run farms in Maine continue despite USDA program cut

The United States Department of Agriculture once helped disadvantaged farmers earn a fair wage growing healthy food and distribute it to underserved communities. But that program was cut in March, which left farmers scrambling to find a solution. Immigrant farmers in Maine have united to raise funds to make up the difference.
