Hadestown: Teen Edition reimagines Anaïs Mitchell’s Tony Award–winning musical for young performers, telling the intertwining myths of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone. Set in a steampunk underworld, the story explores industry vs. nature, doubt vs. faith, and fear vs. love, all driven by the show’s signature blend of American folk and New Orleans jazz. Guided by Hermes, audiences follow Orpheus’ journey to rescue Eurydice from the depths below in a powerful, hopeful tale about love, resilience, and the courage to believe in a better world.
