Guest presenter will be Dr. Thomas St Clair on Wading Bird species in Hernando County. Tom will list the most frequently observed wading birds in Hernando County, describetheir life history and identify where they can be seen in the county. He will also discuss population trends and existing threats.
During his 48-year professional career, Tom served as an environmental scientist for several engineering firms and has a wide range of natural resource experience. He directed applied science aspects of Everglades restoration for ten years. Since retirement he has been an environmental advocate and is currently President of Hernando Audubon and Conservation Chair for Sierra Club Adventure Coast Group.
