MAACM Charley Harper Pelican Glass Class
Tuesday, March 17 and 24, 2026; 10 am to 1pm
Try your hand at this terrific pelican design inspired by iconic artist Charley Harper. Registration for this class includes two 3-hr glass sessions, 3/17 and 3/24. Closed-toed shoes are required to participate in class. Class fee: Non-members: $125, Members $110.

What do commercial fishing, tourism, cattle ranching and citrus farming have in common? They are all pioneering Florida industries that were shaped by the natural resources of the Sunshine State. Students will take part in activities like sorting oranges, packing for a cattle drive, casting a fish net and more that highlight some of the earliest economic drivers in the developing state of Florida. Educators in historic dress will welcome guests to the 1894 Smith House, the Okahumpka Railroad Depot, Terry General Store, School House and more structures authentic to Florida around the turn of the 20th century.

The dragonfly represents good luck, prosperity, courage, and wisdom in many cultures. Reap these benefits by crafting your own amazing insect in this level 1 project. Registration for this class includes two 3-hr glass sessions, 3/20 and 3/27. Closed-toed shoes are required to participate in class. Class fee: Non-members: $125; Members: $110.
