Fans started lining up for the national championship pregame activities at Raymond James Stadium as early as Sunday morning.

Kickoff for the College Football Playoff national championship game is set for tonight at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

Clemson University is 13-1, and is for the second year in a row facing off against Alabama. The ACC Champions, now under the leadership of Coach Dabo Swinney, have not won a national championship in more than three decades. Last year in Glendale, Arizona, the Crimson Tide came out on top 45-40.

Alabama comes into the game 14-0, and undefeated since September of 2015. If the Crimson Tide wins, it will be the team's fifth national championship in eight years. Coach Nick Saban is vying for his sixth overall championship.

The rematch  is a hot ticket, plus the proximity of the schools to Tampa, is causing prices to surge for Monday night's game. Both schools are exactly 572 away from Tampa. As of Sunday afternoon, ticket prices on StubHub ranged from $1,599 for a ticket in the upper deck to $17,820 for a sideline seat in the lower bowl in the 70,000-seat stadium.
