She reported on cement production in Chanute, Kansas through the Middlebury Fellowship in Environmental Journalism and contributed to the award-winning NPR/Center for Public Integrity collaborative series " Poisoned Places." Sarah taught the first session of the Transom Story Workshop in fall 2011. She lives with her partner Joe, a cat named Louie, and soon, two llamas.

Kevin Meerschaert is back at WJCT after two years, rejoining the station as producer of First Coast Connect.

Ashton Elder is a senior at the University of North Florida and was features editor at the UNF Spinnaker. During her time there, she was part of an editing team that won Spinnaker national recognition at a college media conference.

Heather is joining WJCT as the new producer of First Coast Connect.

Valerie Crowder is a freelance reporter based in Panama City, Florida. Before moving to Florida, she covered politics and education for Public Radio East in New Bern, North Carolina. While at PRE, she was also a fill-in host during All Things Considered. She got her start in public radio at WAER-FM in Syracuse, New York, where she was a part-time reporter, assistant producer and host. She has a B.A. in newspaper online journalism and political science from Syracuse University. When she’s not reporting the news, she enjoys reading classic fiction and thrillers, hiking with members of the Florida Trail Association and doing yoga.

Ian (pronounced "yahn") Stewart is a producer and editor for Weekend Edition and Up First.

Casey Chapter is a freshman at Florida State University studying Digital Media Production and Literature, Media & Culture. She is a staff writer and photographer for the FSView & Florida Flambeau, an intern for WFSU Public Media, and a dog lover. After graduation, she plans to work in journalism.

Mallory Falk covers El Paso and the border for the Texas news hub, the prototype for NPR's new system of regional journalism hubs. Previously she worked as a reporter at KRWG in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and WWNO, New Orleans Public Radio. Her reporting has aired nationally on programs including Morning Edition, All Things Considered and Here & Now. A winner of multiple regional Edward R. Murrow awards, Mallory is based in El Paso, and is part of the national Report for America project, which aims to support journalists in underserved areas of America.

Manelle Kheireddine is a WUSF/USF Zimmerman School digital news intern for fall 2019.

Alysia Cruz is the WUSF Stephen Noble news intern for the fall 2019 semester. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of South Florida in Communication and is now enrolled at USF St. Petersburg, pursuing her Master’s in Digital Journalism & Design concentrating on food writing.

Madeline May is the WUSF/Zimmerman School digital news editor for fall 2018.

Christy Oshana is the Producer for Florida Matters, WUSF Public Media’s public affairs show.

Aldo Puccini is WUSF/USF Zimmerman School digital news intern for spring 2018.

Johnny joined WABE in March, 2015. Before joining the station, he was a producer at Georgia Public Broadcasting, and NPR in Washington D.C.

Eleanor Clark is a recent graduate from Florida State University with degrees in International Affairs and Creative Writing. Before interning at WFSU, she spent time in New York City as the Civic Engagement Coordinator for Columbia University’s high school program. Some of Eleanor’s favorite things are watching the Great British Bake Off, eating soup dumplings, and spending time with her dog, Cooper.

Andrea Perdomo is a reporter for WGCU News. She started her career in public radio as an intern for the Miami-based NPR station, WLRN. Andrea graduated from Florida International University, where she was a contributing writer for the student-run newspaper, The Panther Press, and also a member of the university's Society of Professional Journalists chapter.
