Hurricane Beryl weakened slightly to a category 3 early Monday, the National Hurricane Center said. On Sunday, Beryl was the first-ever Atlantic hurricane to reach a Category 4 level in June.
Florida women respond to the state's six-week abortion ban and November's amendment vote
The 6-week abortion ban went into effect on May 1. It replaced the 15-week ban that went into effect in July 2022, just after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The closest state that allows a longer gestational limit is North Carolina at 12 weeks.
New Rays stadium in jeopardy as a Pinellas vote on bonds is delayed again
The vote to delay the purchase of bonds to construct a stadium came shortly after a letter from the Rays to the commission said the delays are making the deal unaffordable for the team.
