The Senate is voting on the Kassabaum-Kennedy Health Insurance Reform Bill, which would allow people who lose their jobs or change jobs to keep their health insurance. Senator Nancy Kassabaum wanted to keep the bill free of amendments but as it goes to the floor senators are offering amendments which would do more than simply allow health insurance to be portable.
