Commentator Susan Aaronson, Guest Scholar in Economics at the Brookings Institution, talks about the job uncertainty that many government employees face. A large number of public servants don't know whether the programs they work on will be funded for the next fiscal year. Aaronson says that the politicians who receive pay checks from tax dollars, while bashing government, have made public service an unpalatable career choice.
