E-Voting Reliability in Doubt as Elections Near

In the 2000 election, a disproportionate number of ballots cast by African Americans were discounted. Four years later, states have received millions of dollars to purchase computerized voting machines. But serious doubts about the security and reliability of electronic voting machines have arisen as the 2004 vote nears. Janet Babin reports.
