Last week, Fort Carson, Colo., held memorial services for seven different soldiers killed in Iraq. The brigade they came from has lost more than 100 troopers since the war began, and accounts for nearly half of all soldiers Fort Carson has lost in the war.
Against this backdrop of death, thousands of other troops at the Colorado base continue training to go back to war, many for the third time.
Eric Whitney reports from member station KRCC in Colorado Springs.
