With the presidential nominating conventions right around the corner, NPR is continuing our already extensive multimedia coverage of the 2012 election.
In addition to live special broadcasts from the Republican National Convention (August 27-30) and the Democratic National Convention (September 4-6), our Election 2012 team is trekking down to Tampa, FL, and Charlotte, NC, to offer in-depth news, interviews and analysis across all newsmagazines and online. The highlight of our coverage will be live, nightly specials chronicling the events of each convention, hosted by NPR National Correspondent Jennifer Ludden. Broadcasts will air and be streamed online from 8PM to 11PM (ET), or until the events of each evening conclude. Joining Ludden are members of NPR's Election 2012 team, including Ron Elving and Mara Liasson, with Debbie Elliott, Jeff Brady and Sonari Glinton reporting on key speeches, chasing delegates from the convention floors and providing analysis of each day's events.
Leading up to the nightly specials, All Things Considered Hosts Robert Siegel and Audie Cornish will host the program during its normal hours from the RNC and DNC, respectively.
