Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Kunz is listed on the document. He’s the same person leading the corruption prosecution of former city Commissioner Scott Maddox. It’s unclear whether the Gillum subpoena is related to that investigation.

The Times reports the subpoena wants records from Gillum going back to January of 2015 along with more from his Political Action Committee Forward Florida which raised more than $35 million for his gubernatorial run. Some of that money remains unspent. Gillum was the Democratic party’s nominee for Governor.

Also listed: Gillum advisor Sharon Lettman-Hicks who runs a PR firm, the Schott Foundation or Public Education, the Opportunity to Learn Action Fund, wealthy donor Donald Sussman and Harris Parnell.

Gillum recently settled with the Florida Ethics Commission over charges he accepted gifts from a lobbyist—an issue related to trips he took with his former friend and lobbyist Adam Corey.

The news comes as Gillum has shifted his focus on registering more Democrats to vote ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
