Wishing for a Christmas miracle? Odds of winning Powerball are not in your favor

ASMA KHALID, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Asma Khalid. Maybe you'll land a Christmas miracle this year and win the lotto. Well, odds are very slim that will happen. The last time a person won Powerball on Christmas was 10 years ago. But the next drawing for the Powerball is tonight. The jackpot is north of $630 million. In Spain's annual holiday lotto, called El Gordo, a choir sings the winning numbers. There's no singing in America's Powerball tonight unless you've got that golden ticket.
