Want to "Walk to the Moon?"

Starting today, you can join a friendly competition, get healthy, and be part of an effort to walk 238,857 miles--the distance of Earth to the moon.

As part of One Bay’s Walk to the Moon Challenge, which runs from April 4th through May 23rd, residents of the eight counties of Tampa Bay region will attempt to walk that distance.

Participants are asked to register at the American Heart Association’s Start Walking Now website, where they can take part as either an individual or on a team.

According to Healthy Tampa Bay, there'll be prizes for both individuals and teams, as well as weekly raffle drawings.
