WUSF Rush Family Radio News internJacob Wentz is the inaugural WUSF Rush Family Radio News intern for the summer of 2021.
Jacob is a recent graduate from New College of Florida, where he was Editor in Chief of the school’s student-run newspaper, the Catalyst.
His post-graduation plans to teach English in Belgium through the Fulbright Program were delayed due to the pandemic. In the meantime, Jacob worked as a news reporter for WSLR in Sarasota, where he found purpose in covering COVID-19 and how it affected his community.
Jacob also served as the WUSF/Health News Florida intern in the spring of 2021.
He will be heading to Belgium in the fall.
