Attorney General Pam Bondi Will Speak at Republican National Convention

For the third day in a row, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is rolling out names of speakers for the upcoming Tampa event. The latest Floridian announced? State Attorney General Pam Bondi.

In recent months, Bondi has been in the national spotlight for leading the lawsuit against the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the law in June.

Additional RNC speakers unveiled today on gopconvention2012.com were:

  • Texas Republican U.S. Senate Nominee Ted Cruz, former Texas solicitor general (first Hispanic and youngest person in that position);
  • Puerto Rico Governor Luis Fortuño, first Republican elected governor of Puerto Rico since 1969 and first Republican representative from Puerto Rico elected to Congress;
  • Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens, former chairman of the Cobb County Commission; and
  • Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, 45th governor of Wisconsin and the first U.S. governor to have successfully kept their seat in a recall election.

And if you're keeping track,  here's a list of RNC speakers announced earlier this week:

  • Florida Gov. Rick Scott
  • Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush
  • Arizona Senator John McCain
  • Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice
  • South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley
  • Ohio Gov. John Kasich
  • New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez
  • Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee
  • Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin
  • Kentucky Senator Rand Paul
  • Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum

Republican candidate Mitt Romney is still mum about his running mate. Whoever that mystery person is, he or she will also speak at the RNC.

Want to know Romney's VP pick as soon as the name is revealed? There's an app for that.
