Tourette syndrome

The reactions after a recent London awards show make clear that Tourette syndrome remains a misunderstood condition, especially when it comes to obscene language tics, called coprolalia.

The disorder is characterized by involuntary movements and vocalizations called tics. Andrew Morstein developed it as a child but became more engaged with the arts as a teen as a way of coping.
