Dr.GunwantDhaliwal-- the Pasco County doctor suspendedby the Florida Board of Medicine in 2013 over allegations of groping a female assistant -- has been found not guilty by a criminal trial jury, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The judgment comes about six-and-a-half years after the employee accused him of illegally touching her. It’s one of several instances whereDhaliwalhas been accused of groping women at his medical clinic, the Timesreports.
In a separate case, a Port Orange doctor awaits trial for leading a pill mill, as prosecutors have cut deals with some of the employees who conspired with him, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reports. Authorities say Dr.AtaurRahmanwould trade pain-pill prescriptions for cash and sex with female patients; his employees are accused of recruiting patients and helpingtraffickthe pills.
And in yet another case, a Walgreens pharmacy technician in Ocala has admitted to stealing thousands ofhydrocodonepills at work and selling them, the Ocala Star-Bannerreports.
